Simma was founded by a Dutch woman in 1991 to provide Gambian girls with skill through courses such as computers, tailoring, cooking, accountancy leading to a City & Guilds exam & certificate.

  SOS Children's Village
SOS, in Bakoteh Estate, is an international charity organisation engaged in education, youth career lessons & healthcare. In 1984 the NGO opened the Vocational Training Centre teaching auto mechanics, carpentry, art & craft, metal fabrication etc.
