Senegambia
is in the west coast
Kololi map area. Along with the adjacent
Kotu area
these 2 resorts are the most
popular in terms of tourist
concentration particularly near the coastal strip. |

The capital at Banjul has just 2 main
hotels which are the
Corinthia Atlantic and
Palm Grove which is located along the
coastal road a couple of kilometres from the main
city area. However, there are others which are not
geared towards tourists. |

Most of the major
hotel resorts are located on the Atlantic Ocean coastal strip. See

hotel locations NOTE: Serrekunda is NOT
a hotel resort area. It is essentially an urban
ghetto town with no nearby beaches even though
many websites refer to it as an accommodation
area. |

The next most popular tourist resort areas are
Bakau,
Bijilo,
Cape
Point,
Fajara &
Kerr Sering.
Within all the above mentioned locations there are
pockets of tranquillity which have guesthouses &
lodges located in residential areas. Fajara,
Bijilo & Cape Point are relatively less
concentrated with tourists as opposed to Kololi &
Kotu.
The distance between the above
resorts (excluding the capital) is about 10
kilometres and all are stretched along the coastal
strip. |

coast are
Gunjur,
Kartong &
other locations
which include further away from the coast or
upriver such as Mandina Lodges which is on the
banks of a river & 45 minutes from the airport. |
