Kingfishers Self Catering Holiday Apartments,
Bijilo, The Gambia, is run by an
English couple
who are based on site, assisted by a small but
very experienced and well established team.
Located in a quiet residential area with local
bars and restaurants within walking distance.
They are ideally situated for the discerning
traveler – not just another hotel bound
tourist. A short walk past Bijilo Forest will
take you to the beach , a wonderfully unspoiled
stretch of sand, giving you a chance to spot
monkeys and exotic birds on the way. The main
tourist area of Senegambia is just over a mile
away and here you will find supermarkets, restaurants
and bars. Taxis run frequently from the top
of the road.
Kingfishers is ideal for couples who want some
well earned rest and relaxation, groups who
want a villa type stay with the benefit of retreating
to private accommodation, or single travellers
who just want to feel safe and welcome. For
the enjoyment of their guests, they welcome
travellers who are over 16 years old only. Visitors
of their guest(s) can be received in their pretty
garden situated at the entrance to Kingfishers
or in their seated reception area. They operate
a strict patrons only policy in the accommodation
area for your safety and comfort.
Kingfishers is situated just a short walk to
the stunning beach and a 5 minute drive to the
lively Senegambia strip. Here, you will find
bars and restaurants with food to suit every
taste, Lebanese, Indian ,Chinese, European,
Italian and of course traditionally Gambian.
A 6 hour flight from Gatwick and you could be
in the heart of West Africa at a price that
will surprise you.
