The above image shows the settlement to the north east of the capital of Banjul, both at the mouth of the River Gambia. It is in the North Bank Region, Lower Niumi District. You can also see the line of the ferry route crossing from the terminal, as well as the North Bank Road and Essau village. Fort Bullen is on the northwest edge of the main settlement.
