From Norway's Oslo Lufthavn Airport OSL (Website) charter flights to Banjul depart throughout the winter period in the months of November, December, January, February and March. The terminal building is in fact 48 km north of the capital city of Oslo in Gardermoen, Ullensaker.




Availability of flights from Oslo Airport Gardermoenis on a Monday from Thomas Cook Airlines who are chartered by Ving (Wing) of Scandinavia to operate its weekly chartered tourist flight from Norway to The Gambia.

Your check-in time for Banjul is at least 1.5 hours before your departure, while boarding your plane is approximately 30 minutes befre take-off.  Please note that there is a stopover at Spain's Tenerife Airport South (Sur) at Reina Sofνa International (TFS) on the outbound and inbound trip back to Oslo Airport.

• Oslo Airport has the largest duty free shop in Europe and is Norway’s main airport. The airport serviced 19 million passengers in 2007 with a daily throughput of around 60,000 daily passengers.

• OSL lies in the municipality of Ullensaker, approximately 50 kilometres north of Oslo City.

• Approximately 13,000 people work at OSL in order to keep it running 24 hours a day. These 13,000 work for more than 100 companies involved in everything from baggage handling to air traffic control.

• There are 2 runways measuring 2,950 and 3,600 metres long.

The air control tower ACT is 92 metres high while the main terminal building measures 144,000 square metres.

• Apart from flights to Banjul there are other airlines making scheduled and chartered flyovers to other international destinations such as in Aalborg, Alicante, Bardufoss, Dubrovnik, Geneva, Goteborg, Helsinki, London Airports, Manchester, Napoli, Pula, and Zurich.
