  Information:
CEDAG Gambia was founded in 2001 and is a registered non-governmental organisation which campaigns and advocates for child health, educationfood securityhealth, social welfare, the environment and youth development exchange programmes. Due to its fields of intervention it works in partnership with the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare.

CEDAG is an indigenous grassroots organisation that is committed to ensuring that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the The African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child are observed. They are also committed to making sure that the Children's Act of 2005 and child maintenance laws of The Gambia are enforced.

The youth body has been operating in the areas of research, public sensitization, disseminating information, producing publications, training and making comments in the media about its work. It is active in child and mother welfare, combats child prostitution and promotes family planning programmes. They also provide urgently needed shelter for victims particularly children as well as psychological counselling.

Structure:
CEDAG's headquarters in Bakau New Town is staffed by a team of Gambian voluntary workers along with the National Coordinator who heads the office and organisation.
