Farakunku Lodges is a countryside based holiday accommodation, which is run by an Anglo Gambian couple, has a fully integrated solar-powered system that pumps water, provides lighting, constant hot water, fans, fridges and freezer to enable rooms and associated amenities to be operated from a sustainable and eco-friendly source of energy.

The grounds of the accommodation are walled and gated for the guests' security. There are cockle shell driveways , raised paths leading to each lodge, a plethora of tropical flowering plants in the garden - a silent retreat for a relaxing getaway.
