Review:

Kololi Beach Resort Hotel is a Resortshare holiday exchange resort with membership. Non-member staying guests are welcome.

The original areas of the hotel are a bit dated, but the newer accommodation blocks called Kololi Springs are quite deluxe and of 5 star quality. On the whole the accommodation is good and spacious, but some villas and apartments can be a bit minimalist with regards to furnishings etc. Talk to the management at the resort if you need something put in your room.

The gardens and grounds of the Kololi Beach Resort are immaculate, well maintained and landscaped throughout. There are plenty of shaded areas, ideal for sitting out and enjoying a drink.

When you don't fancy cooking for yourself then try the room service where food and refreshments can be brought up to your room. There is also their superb restaurant, with plenty of local and European meals to choose from at reasonable prices.

There is plenty of entertainment laid on, especially during the winter holiday season - Gambian drummers, dancers and more.

The beach, which is next to Bijilo Forest Park, has fewer crowds unlike its more northerly neighbours at the Senegambia and Kairaba Hotel.

Tip: If you want more peace and quiet try and get one of the villas nearer the beach.
