Information:
On
the 5th of March 2002 GT Bank (Gambia) Limited was licensed
by the Central Bank (CBG) to operate full commercial banking
activities. It began operations with an authorised share capital
of D40 million (about $1.4 million) and paid-up capital of
D35.7 million ($1.3 million).
GTBank has since increased its paid-up share capital to D60
million with an authorised capital of D65 million in line
with the CBG's new share capital requirements. Their headquarters
is situated at 56 Kairaba Avenue in a specially designed building
by Gap Consultants which is intended to create a visual impact
as well as being welcoming to its customers. Their office
complex creates an impressive addition compared to many of
the other rather drab buildings on the Kairaba Avenue.
The Bank offers a wide range of commercial banking services
and products for individuals, corporations, international
institutions and public sector organizations.
On the 17th October 2006 opens a branch in Kololi's Senegambia
area. The branch is located near the junction.
In 2007 it deployed a number of 5th generation ATM Cash Machines
at its branches in Kololi and Kairaba Avenue. In March 2008
it opened its 7th branch in The Gambia and is now the 3rd
largest bank in the country.
