Review: This opulent 5 star hotel is set on a section of unspoilt strand which is fringed with palms sloping down to the beach. The luxurious suites are enclosed in buildings which have been designed with a strong Moroccan influence, with its sharp pointed semi-domes, and are set in extensive tropical gardens. Coco's restaurant service includes an a la carte menu from internationally trained chefs offering a variety of sumptuous meals in Moorish surroundings.

Review: The Coconut is a personalised 'palace' and one of The Gambia's most majestic and finest of luxury hotels; exclusive in its sheer lavishness and room rates. The hotel is distinguished by its off-pink villas set in a Southern plantation style of palms. Within the villas you will find special extras such as tables of fresh fruit, arabesque motifs and distinctive architraves and pediment shades on windows. The renowned, suave Avocado Restaurant is half open-air under a canopy supported by tree trunks and overlooks the cloverleaf shaped main swimming pool. The 30 suites are fully air-conditioned; some have their own private pools and four poster beds. Other lavish extras are bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers, a mini-fridge, king or queen sized beds, toiletries as well as a butler service. There are split-level bathrooms and showers which are clad in marble enclosures. The downside is that it is located on the main road and no direct line of access to the beach, but a private shuttle service regularly transports visitors, after skirting round the Bijilo Forest Park. The villas have a private pool and are suitable for families.

Review: The Coral Beach is a 5 star luxury hotel built into a cliff, and rolls out onto the beach. It offers a broad choice of traveller facilities, services and bedroom suite options. Readily recognised by its rustic, 'Africanized' structures it is set in amongst spacious manicured lawns, in a self-enclosed area, and has direct views out to sea. Some of the enclosed rooms and halls are utterly 'Europeanized', while other suites are furnished in a contemporary African design. The main reception lobby is a striking combination of glittering sculptures, marble cladding and other fine touches. As one would come to expect from the Coral Beach there has been no compromise on the comfort of guest and rooms are of course classily furnished to the high international standards one would expect. Their infinity swimming pool is colossal, irregularly shaped, and is just a few metres to the sandy beach. The Coral Beach's family-friendly facilities include a children's section pool, a baby cot on request, children's play corner, and family size apartments.

Review: Mandina is an award winning, 5 star luxurious eco-lodge set in among the mangroves and jungle's fringe. It's highly recommended for visitors looking for a new and unique experience. No expense has been spared in the building of the deluxe eco-lodge, which gives guests a good standard of comfort and service for up to 12 people. Note: children should be supervised at all times due to the proximity of the riverine system.

Review: Ngala is a 5* deluxe boutique hotel on the coastal fringe, with 1 bedroom suites with a top tier restaurant. The lodge is essentially a panoramic view luxury mansion located on a cliff edge in Fajara bearing down on the Atlantic Ocean; offering impressive sea views and set on 1 acre of tropical gardens with open sided vistas. The suites are of variable sizes, sumptuous, airey, individually decorated and each has 1 bedroom, sleeping 2 people. Guest rooms have king-size beds and a quality of finishing that is of international standard.  Guests can choose to eat their meals on private verandas basso or at their renowned sea view restaurant.
