Information:
The International Call Organisation (I.C.O) is
a registered, non-governmental relief and educational
charity organisation that is headquartered in The Gambia
and works in other countries in the West African sub-region.
The Islamic charity provides relief aid in the form
of food, water, medical care and shelter to the most
deprived people with an added goal of advancing Islam
within the region. The ICO also has a mission to set
up poverty relief development programmes with a view
to future self-sufficiency for those being helped in
the urban and rural areas.
Activities:
• Constructing community health centres.
• Creating water boreholes and wells in remote
rural & unofficial settlements.
• Primary
healthcare provision.
• Relief for drought
and flood victims
• Relief for the poor &
humanitarian aid in the form of rice, onions, cooking
oil & other basic food commodities.
