Information: TAFCE is a legally registered NGO charity
founded in 1998 by several young, local post graduates.
It's aim is to assist in rural children's education,
health & well being as well as the promotion of
their rights through various grassroots initiatives.
The children's charity is affiliated with the West African
Rural Development Centre (WARD) which is a community
development organisation.
The mission of TAFCE is to engage in the areas missed
out by other aid agencies working in the Gambia's North
Bank district.

• Upgrade school
facilities & their environment
• Initiate
local income generating projects
• Building
infrastructure of schools, day care centres & youth
centres
• Campaigning & educating local
rural population on children's rights and welfare
• Promoting environmental awareness and sustainable

• Increase HIV / AIDS & malaria
awareness
Directions:
Take the ferry from Banjul up to Barra Point on the
northerly mouth of the river.
