The Maritime Agencies Ltd. was founded in 1989 and its
activities are centred around the Banjul Ports customs
clearance and cargo handling from shipping lines and
aircraft.
 It
is both a liner agent and port agent with representatives
in Takoradi, Tema and Kumasi.
The shipping agency is part of the African Maritime
Agencies (AMA), who are a group of independent companies
located near the sea ports on the African Atlantic coastline.
Their work is mostly around freight forwarding and stevedoring,
i.e. bulk or tanker carriers, liner shipping services
and RORO.
