Introduction:
The
name Brusubi is taken from the first syllables of the
3 resorts & villages which surround the are which
are Brufut, Sukuta &
Bijilo. The Brusubi
Layout Housing Project is 12 kilometres from Banjul
& 4 kilometres from Serrekunda areas of The Gambia.
The real
estate covers a land area of 356 hectares and is
a short distance to Brufut Heights and the Coral Beach
Hotel. The idea behind the project is to keep in line
with the Vision 2020 and aims to provide houses
for sale in several project phases to a good number
of Gambians both at home and abroad.
The Infrastructure:
In Phase 1, tarmac roads have been constructed to facilitate
movement within the estate. Pipe borne water is also
provided 1 metre into each of the plots. All the mains
electricity supplies have been installed including street
lights, poles and a 500 Kva modern power substation.
Structures are in place to allow for the easy drainage
of rain water to prevent flooding. Road kerbs and culverts
have been built as part of the construction works.
Social Facilities:
Like any urban settlement, Brusubi has all the facilities
that make living in a city worth the while. There are
schools, health, social, sports, business and other
essential services for for families and individuals.
Properties For Sale:
There are a range of financing options from which interested
buyers can choose. That notwithstanding, the finance
corporation remains flexible for buyers who have their
own building plans. They offer 2 and 3 bedroom houses
at reasonable prices.
Typical land sizes in Brusubi are 20 x 25 sq. metres.
Building Contractors:
Three established building contractors were involved
in the construction of the houses under Phase 1. This
way buyers have the opportunity to choose from these
proven building firms based in The Gambia.
Arrangement:
To buy one of these houses you need to procure, fill
and submit a prescribed application form and enter into
a home loan agreement with the SSHFC based in Gambia.
Payment schedule as follows: • 25% of total
house cost as advance. • 25% after walling.
• 25% after roofing, doors & windows.
• 25% when all works are complete and prior to
handing over of the keys and title documents.
