Cooking Recipes
COOKING INGREDIENTS:
1) Ready made millet balls steamed & set aside
2) 1 lb spinach greens
3) Dried fish
4) 2 sliced Okra (Ladies Fingers)
5) 1 lb of beef
6) 9 ounces of grated fresh peanuts
7) Salt and Pepper
9) 2 small Maggi © cubes
10) 2 large crushed onions
11) 4 pints of water
12) 2 large green or red peppers (sliced)
COOKING METHOD:
1)
Wash the spinach then boil with the Okra.
2)
Sieve then crush the spinach & Okra in a small
bowl
3)
Cut beef into slightly smaller than mouth size pieces and season with the salt & pepper then leave standing for 30 minutes.
4)
Place all ingredients into a medium sized cooking pot with the exception of the spinach / Okra mix & peppers.
5)
Add a 2 pints of water & bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for about an hour or until beef is tender and sauce is reduced.
6)
Add spinach mix and peppers
7)
Cook for approximately 12 minutes

Serve on top of the Chere

Chere can be made with black eyed beans (Nyebe ) which have been pre-cooked and are added.
