Information:
The Farafenni General Hospital
has beds for 250 patients and was built in 1999 with the objective
of providing better healthcare and health access for 300,000
Gambians living in the region of the North Bank. It treats
around 35,000 patients a year.
Some of the health services includes:
• Accident and emergency
• AIDS / HIV care
• General surgical surgery
• Maternity care services
• Ophthalmic
• Paediatrics care services
It is staffed by Gambian, Cuban and Nigerian doctors and nurses.
