It
should be noted that the regular charter flights
from Abbotsinch's Glasgow Airport (GLA)
to Banjul make their international departures on Tuesdays
during the winter of 2012 / 2013.
These months start around the 4th November, December,
January, February, March and up to the 14th April.
These departure flights are operated by Thomas Cook
Airlines and go via East
Midlands on both the outbound and inbound journeys.
There are are several airline companies operating on the aforementioned months.
Note that the aircraft will not operate between the ~ 2nd to the 16
December 2012 and 13 January to the 3rd February 2013. Should you wish to fly
to Banjul, The Gambia, from Glasgow between the late spring,
summer up to the late
autumn months (May to late September) then you will need to go via
Gatwick.
Glasgow Airport
is Scotland's main long haul access point, with year round flights
from its 1
terminal
Canada, the United States and the Gulf. Domestic flights include London Heathrow, Luton International and
Stansted as well as Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter and Norwich City
and Bristol.
