Directions:
From the Senegambia Strip junction turn right and
walk down about 400 metres. Sea Shells Restaurant
is located on your left-hand side near Bijilo
in Greater Banjul.

Review:
The Sea Shells Bar & Restaurant is truly among the finest,
top quality, 5 star diners in the whole of The Gambia and
has been highly recommended by many guests who visited it
when it re-opened in early 2013. As you enter you are
struck by the imaginative decor, vibrant contrasting colours
inside, the airy ambience, nice background music as well as
the neatly laid out tables.
This
place is neat, clean and tidy. The waiters are very attentive
without being overbearing and provide a generally excellent
service. You can eat inside or try outdoor dining in their
garden patio where each table has its own sun shade.
They serve breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. The menu has
continental
cuisine, the food is excellently prepared, cooked and presented. For
starters try their coconut prawns or imaginative lobster spring
rolls prepared by their expert chef.
For the main course try their mouthwatering, succulent lobster
Thermidor or the professionally prepared Ladyfish, skewered
butter fish, prawn salad with avocado, their mean chicken
Cordon Bleu, Italian seafood lasagne, lemon sole stuffed with
garlic, prawns and mushrooms, Beef Wellington with peas, seafood
platter and so much more.
For dessert they offer scrumptious home made, freshly baked
cakes, cheesecakes, chocolate fondant with ice cream, profiterole,
crêpes served with aromatic cream, and finish of with a cup
of hot cappuccino. From the start of your meal try out their
quality Italian or French wines selection.
The food on their extensive menu does cost somewhat more than
along the Senegambia Strip but it's certainly worth visiting
as the food served at Sea Shells Restaurant is great and well
prepared and the toilets are among the cleanest in Gambia.
This is generally a good indicator of how much the proprietor
takes food hygiene.
As a final bonus Moroccan specialities can be served by request.
The restaurant has an internet hotspot
providing free and fast, WiFi 4G internet access for diners
wishing to use a laptop while maybe sipping coffee or eating a
dessert.
